THE SNAKE DEN
Automn fire :
Weird marvels waiting
Beyond the orchard
Hurtling down
The slope of the forest
He somehow turns back into a child
Confusion rises as he draws near
This strange cave folk shuns
Voice of old times seems to call him :
Silver key’s magic at work
Only God could stop him now
But from this world he seems absent
Beneath boundaries of life
Limbo lies all around
Leave mental health aside
You won’t need it at all
Strange shapes speak to your mind
Unveiling creation
To this oniric site
The snake-den is a door
A trapfall
Ensnaring you forever
An end comes to his search for the truth
More than his own life,
He values the stars
Despite all, he wants to know
The dreaded Guide is showing
Better be penitent
So says the Necronomicon
"I face You now with no fear"
Says the time traveller
Guide : "We have awaited you too long"
RC : "I will advance, unveil wonders"
Before revealing to him
The greatest of the secrets
Better think if it’s worthing it
He’ll surely lose what he is
Among his multitude
If he wants to sink in deeper
Guide : "You’ll take my place
You’ll keep the Gates"
In front of the Guide, waiting for him
Still he’s gnawed by doubt
The Ultimate Gate is upon him
Bestowing him omniscience
Only God could stop him now
But here there’s no such thing as God
(Chorus)
A trapfall
Lying down in Underworld
Ensnaring you forever
I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here. David Fischer
I’ve just discovered you guys and I think you’re great.please continue recording these masterpieces 👍🏻
I will continue to support the band.
Thanks . Lawrence Faber
The songs are masterfully composed and flow together beautifully, and the orchestration is exactly how I want metal orchestration to sound: full, playable by a real orchestra, and just as important to the music as the vocals, drums, guitar, and bass are. tonycordeshimself
The Indonesian act Kekal leaves no genre unturned, colliding black metal with industrial music with melodic post-rock on this stunning LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 25, 2023
This is the first progressive metal album I've loved in quite some time. Phenomenal songwriting, instrumental virtuosity, and stellar vocal performances make this one of the most unique and strongest releases of 2020. Holdeneye
